According to meteorological data, from 8:00 to 20:00 on February 23, 2026: Mostly cloudy. Snowfalls and blizzards are expected in the Mongolo-Altai mountain region. In the western half of the country, the wind will be from the southwest, while in other areas it will be from the northwest, at 5-10 meters per second, and in some areas of the country — 14-16 meters per second.
Temperature readings in Lake Uvs and the Darhad basin, as well as in the valleys of the Tes and Yeruu rivers, will range from -20 to -25°C. In the Khangai, Khubsugul, Khenkhi, Zavkhan mountains, as well as at the sources of the Zag-Baidrag, Ider, Eg, Uur, Orkhon, Selenge, Kharaa, Tuul, Terelj, Kherlen, Onon, and Ulz rivers, as well as in the valleys of the Khalt and Dornod-Dargan steppes, the temperature will be -15 to -20°C. In the southwestern part of the Gobi region, temperatures are expected to be +1 to +6°C, in the Altai mountains -3 to +2°C, in the foothills of the Khangai mountains, as well as in the eastern and northern parts of the Gobi region -3 to -8°C, while in other areas, the temperature will fluctuate from -10 to -15°C.
In Ulaanbaatar, variable cloudiness is forecasted with no precipitation. The northwestern wind will blow at a speed of 4-9 meters per second, and daytime temperatures will range from -14 to -16°C.
