Mongolian Riders to Participate in the Dakar Rally 2026

Erdenebileg Khaliunbold and Mörön Purevdorj represent Mongolia in this prestigious competition.

On the first day of the race, participants covered 527 km, including 305 km on a special stage, where they had to deal with various conditions: rocky, sandy, and dirt roads. According to route information, 70% of it consisted of gravel roads, 16% - sandy, 8% - rocky, and 4% - sand dunes.

Khaliunbold Erdenebileg finished the first day in 33rd place among 120 racers and took 20th place in the "Rally 2" category, completing the special stage in 3 hours, 51 minutes, and 45 seconds.

As for the other representative of Mongolia, Mörön Purevdorj, he finished in 50th place overall and 35th in the "Rally 2" category.

On the second day, January 5, the race will continue deeper into the Arabian Peninsula, aiming to reach the bivouac in Al-Ula.
