In Kyrgyzstan, women dedicate about 4 hours and 40 minutes daily to household chores. This information is provided by the National Statistical Committee.

The time spent by women on household tasks accounts for 19.4% of the total daily time budget, while men spend only 3.8%, which is less than one hour a day.

Interestingly, in rural areas, both men and women spend approximately 1.2 times more time on household duties compared to urban residents. For example, working women in rural areas devote about 6.5 hours on a weekday to household work, while their urban counterparts spend around 5 hours. The differences among working men are less pronounced: in villages, they spend an average of 50 minutes a day, while in cities, it's about 35 minutes.

It is also worth noting that the structure of time spent on household management by working women and men varies significantly depending on the specific types of tasks performed.
