The regional news publication Turmush continues its column "Zheneke." In it, we share stories from the lives of young brides and experienced daughters-in-law.

The goal of the project is to remind about the importance of family values and to reveal the beauty and talents of married women. The heroine is 26-year-old Nuraim Bektiyanova, a resident of the village of Bokonbaeva in the Ton district of the Issyk-Kul region.

In a conversation with the correspondent, she shared that she works as the head of the "Health Strengthening" office at the Ton District Center for General Practice, but is currently on maternity leave. She holds two diplomas: she graduated from the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University with a degree in phytosanitary control (bachelor's degree) and also completed her master's degree at the same university in economics and accounting.

"I got married at 24 — on 11.11.2022, a very beautiful date. I met my future husband at the wedding of my classmate: he was on the groom's side. We had just met, and then I went to work in Moscow. We communicated by phone, and it was over the phone that he confessed his love to me.

I lived in Moscow for a year, and we communicated long-distance the whole time. One day he said, 'Come to Kyrgyzstan, I will marry you.' I agreed, came back — and we got married. Now we are very happy.

N. Bektiyanova shared about herself: 'Before marriage, I was, as they say, 'tough,' more like a boy: I never wore dresses, skirts, or a headscarf. After marriage, it was difficult for me — I spent about two months learning to tie a headscarf, practicing every day. Now, laughing, I say that I never take the headscarf off my head.'
Nuraim's husband works as a taxi driver on the route from Balakchy to Bokonbaeva. After their wedding, they dreamed of opening a store — and their dream came true.

"The most interesting thing is that we opened an auto parts store. My husband said, 'I will work as a taxi driver, and you take care of the store,' and from the very beginning, he started teaching me about auto parts. That's how I began to work.

When male customers come into the store and see me, they often say, 'You still don't understand, you don't know the parts.' I calmly ask, 'What part do you need?' Sometimes we even argue — I explain that this particular part doesn't fit their car, but another one will, showing the pros and cons and explaining how to install it. They are very surprised and ask, 'Did you memorize all this?' Sometimes, jokingly, I kick the customer's car tire and say that some parts are already worn out — everyone laughs.

In fact, by constantly working with cars and parts, I gradually began to distinguish faults even by sound — understanding which specific part has failed. I select bulbs for headlights, and I make 'dry fog' for the car's interior.

Men are very surprised by my knowledge," she shared.

Nuraim recounted a humorous incident.

"Once, a man asked for an inner grenade for a 'Ford Transit' vehicle. I asked, 'Is your car that white one parked outside?' He answered 'yes.' Then I clarified, 'Ford Transit 1997 model? With a 'crab' engine?' He was astonished and asked, 'How do you know?' I replied with a smile that I know 'all the secrets' of that car. Since then, he has been my regular customer.

I sometimes drive my father-in-law's car — a 'Honda CR-V.' My father-in-law rarely drives and tells me, 'Daughter, drive it yourself.' Since our village is small, everyone knows who does what and what cars they drive. Sometimes men come to me for advice and say, 'You drive a 'Honda CR-V,' I have a knocking sound here — what could it be?' I share what I know," she added.

"I am very grateful to my husband for showing me all this and giving me motivation. At first, I was scared, thinking I wouldn't manage, but thanks to his support, within just 4 months, I learned to distinguish types of auto parts, car brands, and much more.

I have almost no free time: in the morning, I take my son to kindergarten, and then I go straight to the store.

We have many plans for the future. One of our main goals is to develop and expand our auto parts store. We are gradually achieving all the goals we set," Nuraim shared.

She is the mother of one son, who is 2 years old.
