The Traffic Safety Department of the Bishkek City Police has urged taxi drivers to prepare all necessary documents for obtaining a license to operate taxi services by February 1, 2026.
Additionally, the Traffic Safety Department announced that starting February 1, a series of preventive raids will begin, aimed at identifying drivers operating without licenses.
In this regard, every taxi driver is required to undergo the licensing process in advance and align their activities with the law. Compliance with legislation is key to ensuring passenger safety and order on the roads, the Traffic Safety Department added.
It is worth noting that the deadline for the mandatory licensing of taxi drivers has been postponed from December 1, 2025, to February 1, 2026.
