In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, at the corner of Kurmanjan Datka and Frunze streets, a new traffic light equipped with laser backlighting for the pedestrian crossing has been installed. This was reported by the local city hall.
According to the information, the traffic light was created and assembled using the resources of the municipal enterprise "City Road Transport Infrastructure".
“The use of laser backlighting significantly improves the visibility of pedestrians for drivers in challenging weather conditions, such as fog or rain. This, in turn, helps to reduce the number of accidents and increase safety on the roads. This project highlights the technological capabilities of our municipal enterprise and aims to implement modern solutions in urban infrastructure, which also helps to reduce the number of traffic accidents,” the official statement notes.
