At the intersection of Frunze and Kurmanjan Datka streets in Bishkek, a new traffic light equipped with laser backlighting for pedestrian crossings has appeared. This traffic light is the result of the work of the municipal enterprise "City Road Transport Infrastructure," which developed and manufactured it independently for the first time, as reported by the city administration.
The laser backlighting improves the visibility of pedestrians for drivers in difficult weather conditions, such as fog or rain. This, in turn, helps reduce the number of road traffic accidents and increases safety on the roads.
The implementation of this project highlights the technical capabilities of the municipal enterprise and aims to introduce modern technologies into the city's road infrastructure, which will also help reduce the number of accidents.
