In Bishkek, the 83rd anniversary of the Leningrad blockade breakthrough will be celebrated (program)

In Bishkek, several events are planned to commemorate the 83rd anniversary of the lifting of the blockade of Leningrad. This information was published in a press release received by the editorial office.

On January 16 at 11:00 AM, a rally will take place in the Victory Park named after Dair Asanov, during which flowers will be laid at the monument "Courage of Leningraders - Nobility of Kyrgyzstanis".

During the rally, documents containing information about the fate of their loved ones will be handed over to the relatives of 12 warriors from Kyrgyzstan, who were previously considered missing in action. This event will be part of the project "Return of the Name in Kyrgyzstan".

On January 17 at 11:00 AM, a memorial service will be held at the Holy Resurrection Cathedral (Jibek Jolu Avenue, 497) in memory of the defenders and residents of besieged Leningrad, as well as members of the Kyrgyz Society of Blockade Survivors who have passed away during peacetime.

On January 18 at 12:00 PM, flowers will be laid at the monument to Anna Kutanova at the Northern Cemetery, a long-time head of the Kyrgyz Society of Blockade Survivors of Leningrad.
