The evening will begin with a flower-laying ceremony at the Ala-Archa cemetery, after which the event will continue within the walls of the "Manas" theater.
The program for the evening includes a concert performance featuring manaschy and akyns from the theater.
Beksultan Zhakievich Zhakiev was born on January 16, 1936, in the village of Bokonbaev, located in the Ton district, and passed away on April 25, 2021, in Bishkek. He was not only a Soviet and Kyrgyz writer but also edited, translated, and created scripts. In 1993, he was awarded the title of People's Writer of Kyrgyzstan, and in 2011, he received the title of Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In 1958, Beksultan Zhakiev graduated from the philological faculty of the Kyrgyz Pedagogical Institute named after M. V. Frunze. From 1960 to 1962, he studied at higher script courses in Moscow. His professional career began in 1963 when he became an editor at the "Kyrgyzfilm" studio, where he was also part of the script and repertoire committee.

- 1968-1972 — Head of the United Repertoire and Editorial Board of the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR;
- 1972-1975 — Chief Editor of the "Kyrgyzfilm" studio;
- 1975-1983 — Chief Editor of the United Repertoire and Editorial Board of the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR;
- 1984-1987 — Associate Professor at the Kyrgyz State Institute of Arts named after B. Beishenaliev;
- 1988-1992 — Secretary of the Board of the Union of Theater Workers of the Kyrgyz SSR;
- 1992-1993 — Advisor to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- 1994-2000 — Artistic Director and later Director of the State Directorate "Manas-1000", as well as Chairman of the Committee for awarding the state prize in the field of literature, art, and architecture named after Toktogul;
- 2000-2003 — Initiator of the project supported by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, "Masterpieces of Intangible Cultural Heritage on the Work of Manaschy and Improvising Akyns".
Beksultan Zhakiev passed away on April 25, 2021, and was buried at the Ala-Archa cemetery.
