The Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic today made a statement that the products of the National Film Studio 'Kyrgyzfilm', named after Tolomush Okee, cannot be used without the prior consent of the rights holder.
Citing information from the film studio, the Ministry of Culture clarified that all audiovisual works created by the studio belong to it. This means that for screening, reuse, broadcasting on television, or posting on the internet, including social networks and streaming platforms, it is mandatory to have a contract with the rights holder.
The agency also added that using films without proper permission violates the legislation of Kyrgyzstan and may lead to legal liability. Nevertheless, the film studio expressed its readiness to cooperate with the media market and other interested parties within the framework of the current legislation.
