The awards ceremony of the national film prize "Ak Ilbirs" took place the day before in Bishkek at the Abdylas Maldybaev Opera and Ballet Theater. The event was organized by the Film Development Fund.
According to the fund's information, the film "Kachkyn," created with the participation of "Kyrgyzfilm," Creative Center, and CTR under the direction of Suyum Sulaymanova, was awarded the title of Best Film.
In addition, "Kachkyn" also won awards in the following categories: Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Music, and Best Cinematography.
The Special Prize for significant contribution to the development of Kyrgyz cinema was awarded to Rakiya Shershenova, a distinguished cultural figure of Kyrgyzstan and director.
The Best Director award went to Ruslan Akun for his work on the film "Paradise Under the Feet of Mothers."
The Best Actress was recognized as Anarkul Nazarkulova for her role as a mother in the film "Paradise Under the Feet of Mothers."
Emil Esenaliev received the title of Best Actor for his portrayal of the son in the same film.
The award for Best Film in Central Asia went to the film "Autumn Breeze" directed by Adil Merekenov from Kazakhstan.
Best Short Film was "Bailanysh" ("Connection") under the direction of Zhandos Zholdoshov.
Best Documentary Film was "Dogs," created by Aliman Toktogulova and Karash Janyshov.
Best Production Designer was awarded to Elchibek Shamenov for the projects "Ayash-4" and "Paradise Under the Feet of Mothers."
The Audience Choice Award also went to the film "Paradise Under the Feet of Mothers."
