Tolomush Okeyev, considered one of the founders of Kyrgyz cinema, left a significant mark in the history of cinematography. His films, such as "Red Apple," "Descendant of the White Leopard," and "Ulan," have become classics and received recognition both within the Soviet Union and beyond. These works hold an honored place in the treasure trove of national cinema.
In 2022, in honor of the director, the "Kyrgyzfilm" studio was named after him.
