On December 30, a solemn ceremony took place in Bishkek, where a monument to Tolomush Okeyev, the People's Artist of the USSR and film director, was unveiled. This information was disseminated by the information policy department of the President's Office of Kyrgyzstan.

At the event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Okeyev's birth, State Secretary Arslan Koychiev delivered a speech.

In his speech, Arslan Koychiev emphasized that Tolomush Okeyev had a significant impact on the development of Kyrgyz cinema, and his works, such as "Kok Serek," "Ulan," "Bakaydyn Zhayyty," and "Ak Ilbirstin Tukumu," will remain in the memory of the people as cultural heritage.

In a statement on behalf of the country's president, it was noted that the unveiling of this monument is "a clear sign of respect for history and recognition of Okeyev's merits and talent."

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the organizers, sponsors, and the family of Tolomush Okeyev were thanked for their contribution to the creation of the monument, as stated in the official announcement.
