The event dedicated to the 124th anniversary of Jussup Abdrakhmanov — an outstanding statesman — took place at the Alley of Founders of Kyrgyz Statehood, as reported by the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan.
Among the participants were State Secretary Arslan Koychiev, Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev, as well as historians, government representatives, public figures, and university students.
Speaking at the event, Arslan Koychiev emphasized the significance of Jussup Abdrakhmanov for the formation of Kyrgyz statehood, noting the need to pass on his ideas and principles of serving the people from generation to generation.
Minister of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev spoke about the ongoing research of the historical legacy in accordance with the president's decree "National Spirit — Global Heights." He stressed that Abdrakhmanov's contribution will be thoroughly studied, adding that public service for him was a matter of high responsibility to the people, and his life path serves as an example for future civil servants.
The Ministry is also implementing a number of cultural and film projects aimed at popularizing the legacy of Jussup Abdrakhmanov. Among them are the feature film "Jussup," timed to the 125th anniversary of the figure, and the historical series "Kara Kyrgyz," which contribute to the formation of historical consciousness among the youth.
In addition, the rector of the Academy of Public Administration under the President named after Jussup Abdrakhmanov, Aigul Kalchakeeva, announced the creation of a study course "Abdrakhmanov Studies."
At the conclusion of the event, flowers were laid at the monument of Jussup Abdrakhmanov in a sign of respect.
