According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture, the main focus of the meeting was on analyzing the state of the media sphere in Kyrgyzstan, as well as issues related to freedom of opinion and expression.
The Minister emphasized that Kyrgyzstan is committed to international standards on freedom of speech and highlighted the need to maintain a balance between press freedom and responsibility for the dissemination of information.
Topics related to digital transformation, combating disinformation, and enhancing professional standards and media literacy were also discussed.
Particular attention was paid to legislative initiatives, the safety of journalists, and the development of practical cooperation with the OSCE, including support for experts, training, and the exchange of best practices.
