The Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan Discussed the Development of Transport Corridors

Yesterday, a telephone conversation took place between the foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, during which key aspects of bilateral cooperation were discussed. The main focus was on the development of international transport corridors and increasing the capacity at customs points located on the common border, as reported by the press service of the ministry.

The parties concluded that it is necessary to strengthen coordination between the relevant agencies, which will help ensure uninterrupted cargo transit and improve conditions for trade and logistics in the region. Measures aimed at enhancing the efficiency of transport routes between the two countries were also discussed.

During the conversation, the ministers exchanged views on the upcoming high-level visits planned for 2026. They emphasized the importance of meetings between the leaders of the countries for further strengthening the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

As a result of the conversation, the heads of the foreign policy agencies confirmed their readiness to continue active political dialogue and practical cooperation on all issues of bilateral collaboration.
