- The Executive Committee of the CIS summarized the work of the Economic Council in 2025.
During the council meetings, nearly 100 documents concerning various aspects of economic cooperation were reviewed. Of these, 34 documents were approved by the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS, and one by the Council of Heads of State of the CIS.
Among the most significant documents: The Declaration on Cooperation in the Field of Regional Energy Security; The Action Plan for the Implementation of the Second Stage (2026–2030) of the Economic Development Strategy of the Commonwealth until 2030; The Strategy for the Development of the Information Society and Digital Economy among CIS Countries until 2035, along with the corresponding Action Plan; The Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the CIS for 2026–2035; A set of measures to attract and stimulate mutual investments within the CIS until 2030; An Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Heavy Machinery between the Commonwealth States; A Plan of Activities for the Preparation and Conduct of the Year of Health Protection in the CIS in 2026. Additionally, the Concept for the Integration of Major Transport Routes Passing Through the Territories of CIS Countries and the Strategy for Congress and Exhibition Activities of the Commonwealth have been prepared, which will be submitted for approval to the Council of Heads of Government in the spring of 2026.
