- President Sadyr Japarov congratulated the people of Kyrgyzstan on the New Year 2026.
The head of state emphasized that the interest of large international investors in significant projects such as the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, the Kambar-Ata Hydroelectric Power Station-1, and the Ala-Too Resort tourist complex serves as confirmation of this progress.
“As a result of the coordinated work of all branches of government and the effective use of budgetary funds, Kyrgyzstan has taken one of the leading positions in the world in terms of real GDP growth rates,” he added, speaking about the country’s economic achievements.
Sadyr Japarov also touched upon the relevance of the digital economy. He reported that on December 24, the national stablecoin KGST, which is pegged to the Kyrgyz som at a one-to-one ratio, was listed on Binance, the largest exchange in the world. According to him, this highlights the high level of legal and regulatory support in the field of virtual assets in Kyrgyzstan.
The president noted that the achieved successes are evidence that the republic is confidently moving towards sustainable development.
“The state will continue to work on creating modern mechanisms for economic growth and implementing innovations aimed at the benefit of citizens and businesses,” he emphasized.
In conclusion of his speech, Japarov mentioned the adoption of the “National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030,” the implementation of which will begin in the near future.
