In Kyrgyzstan, plans are underway to modernize geological science

The priority of the state policy of Kyrgyzstan has become the development of science, innovation, and geological research. This decision was made as a result of a meeting of the Council on Science, Innovation, and New Technologies, chaired by the Prime Minister.

According to the Prime Minister's office, the meeting was held under the leadership of Adylbek Kasymaliev, who noted that science and innovation play a key role in sustainable socio-economic progress, technological sovereignty, and national security of the country.

During the discussion, participants heard reports on the current state of the scientific field, identified problems, and prospects for its further development. Special attention was given to the need to improve the regulatory framework for the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The necessity of increasing state support for geological science was also considered, which is deemed important for economic growth and the rational use of natural resources.

As a result of the meeting, important decisions were made. The Council was recommended to develop systemic measures to enhance the effectiveness of scientific activities, including the creation of mechanisms for state orders, a phased increase in funding, rational use of resources, as well as the modernization of geological science and strengthening the human resources potential of scientific institutions.
