Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan Optimize Capacity at the State Border

During a phone conversation, the foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Jeenbek Kulubaev, and his Uzbek counterpart, Bakhtier Saidov, discussed the importance of joint efforts to ensure uninterrupted cargo transit and create favorable conditions for increasing trade in the region, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The number of current cooperation issues became one of the topics of discussion. The ministers emphasized the need to develop international transport corridors and improve the functioning of customs points at the border.

Additionally, the schedule for high-level visits in 2026 was discussed. Both ministers noted that meetings of state leaders contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership.

In conclusion of the conversation, Kulubaev and Saidov expressed their readiness for active political dialogue.
