The Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan Discussed the Development of Transport Corridors

On January 14, a telephone conversation took place between Jeenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Bakhtiyor Saidov, his Uzbek counterpart.

During the conversation, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, key aspects of cooperation between the two countries were discussed, with an emphasis on the development of international transport corridors and measures to optimize the operation of customs points at the border.

The ministers noted the necessity of coordinating the actions of the relevant agencies to ensure uninterrupted and efficient cargo transit, as well as creating conditions that promote the development of trade and logistics in the region.

Issues related to the preparation and organization of high-level visits in 2026 were also discussed. The parties emphasized the importance of presidential meetings for strengthening the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

At the end of the conversation, the ministers expressed their readiness to continue active political dialogue and practical cooperation on all bilateral issues.
