Kyrgyz Football Union Expands Cooperation with Saudi Arabia

On January 6 in Jeddah, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Kyrgyz Football Union (KFS) and the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, as reported by the KFS press service.

The memorandum was signed by KFS President Kamchybek Tashiev and his Saudi counterpart Yaser Al-Mishel.

The purpose of this agreement is to develop football infrastructure in Kyrgyzstan, implement international standards, and enhance the level of national teams. As part of the agreement, friendly matches between women's and youth teams from both countries are planned for the period of 2026-2027.

The parties also discussed joint efforts in the areas of sports information exchange, improving football management, developing the refereeing system, training coaches and technical progress, as well as organizing and conducting various competitions.

It is worth noting that Kamchybek Tashiev is currently on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, where he is attending the U-23 Asian Cup matches taking place in Jeddah.
