According to the press service of the Ministry of Culture, the participants emphasized that despite the active development of economic and technological ties, cultural and humanitarian aspects remain key in bilateral relations. The outcomes of the official visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sadyr Japarov, to Austria, which took place in November 2024, were discussed.
An important point of the conversation was the discussion of youth policy. The participants noted that youth constitutes more than a third of the population of Kyrgyzstan and expressed interest in the Austrian experience in supporting youth, developing volunteering, and informal education. The possibility of establishing direct connections between youth organizations of the two countries was also discussed.
The parties expressed their readiness to deepen practical cooperation, including the implementation of joint cultural and youth initiatives. The prospect of signing cooperation agreements in areas under the ministry's jurisdiction was considered.
During the meeting, the minister emphasized the importance of preserving the intangible cultural heritage associated with the World Nomad Games and invited the Austrian delegation to participate in the VI World Nomad Games, scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 6, 2026, on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul.
In addition, gratitude was expressed to the Austrian side for their assistance in organizing the "Turkic Week" in Vienna. At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants confirmed their readiness for further development of cultural and humanitarian dialogue and exchanged commemorative gifts.
