The Minister of Culture of Kyrgyzstan, Mirbek Mambetaliev, stated in an interview with AKIpress that the Days of Culture of the country in several states have been postponed to 2027. This decision is related to the organization of significant events in Kyrgyzstan, such as the World Nomad Games and events dedicated to the SCO.
The head of the Ministry of Culture noted: “Our colleagues understand this change, and we have planned to hold the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in countries such as Belarus in 2027.”
In addition, the minister spoke about plans for the current year, including a trip to France to participate in a theater festival and a visit to the Biennale in Italy.
In the context of international cultural cooperation, Mambetaliev mentioned the play "Semetei," which was created in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Korea.
“This play was directed by a Korean director who presented his view on the epic 'Semetei.' I understand the criticism regarding some scenes, such as those with bottles; however, this is the creativity of the Korean master. As we know, art sometimes provokes and causes disputes. I agree that it should touch the feelings of the audience,” he added.
