The Minister noted that current Kyrgyz films are in high demand, and audiences are actively attending screenings.

He also reported on plans to build a film studio in the country, which have been supported by government authorities.

In addition, the Ministry of Culture intends to create a Dolby Atmos recording studio.

“Many of our filmmakers are forced to travel to Moscow to dub their works, which is very expensive. This includes travel expenses, tickets, and accommodation, not to mention the high cost of studio rentals. Why not build such a studio here? At the moment, the state can afford it,” emphasized Mambetaliev.

He added that the department is currently working on the technical parameters for creating the recording studio and hopes it will be ready by the end of 2026.

“We plan to build a film studio. If we have a government order, ‘Kyrgyzfilm’ will shoot there, and if the studio is not occupied, private producers will be able to rent it, which will bring income to ‘Kyrgyzfilm’,” the minister shared his plans.

The Dolby Atmos technology was developed by Dolby Laboratories and was first introduced in theaters in 2012. It expands the capabilities of sound systems by adding height channels, creating a surround sound effect and allowing sounds to be perceived as three-dimensional objects.
