In an interview with AKIpress, Minister of Culture Mirbek Mambetaliev noted that during official visits of heads of state, events such as Culture Days and cultural evenings are held, which hold significant importance.
“For example, when our president visited Tajikistan, we also participated in this visit by organizing a joint concert with Tajik cultural figures. This event lasted about an hour and a half and included performances by many of our domestic artists and musicians,” the minister said.
He added that cultural events encompass not only the visit itself but also meetings and the send-offs of heads of state at airports. Mirbek Mambetaliev cited the recent CSTO summit, which took place in October 2025, as an example.
“Approximately 30 million soms were allocated for the last summit. This amount included expenses for meetings, send-offs, informal dinners, and concert programs for the delegations,” he explained.
According to the Minister of Culture, a multitude of cultural events are organized within the framework of the summits. At the last summit, about 500 people from various fields were involved, including craftsmen, orchestras, philharmonic workers, and soloists,” he added.
