Julie Staft noted that the United States was the first country to recognize Kazakhstan's independence and emphasized that bilateral relations are at a record high level. "Our partnership is stronger now than ever," she added.
The ambassador also mentioned the wide range of interactions between Kazakhstan and the United States, covering cultural, trade, and economic areas.
"Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Donald Trump maintain close ties and communicate regularly. President Tokayev visited Washington in November and recently had another conversation with Trump. He will be traveling to the U.S. again soon. We hope for the continued dynamic development of these relations," Staft summarized.
During the presentation of credentials to the Bulgarian ambassador Georgi Vodeniski, Tokayev emphasized Kazakhstan's commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.
"We will do everything possible to expand our cooperation in both political and economic spheres," said the President of Kazakhstan.
