“The Eurasian Economic Union represents a geopolitical bridge connecting the East and the West, the North and the South. Important transit routes run through the territories of our countries. Therefore, we need to combine efforts to achieve one common goal — to become a key logistics hub on the continent,” Tokayev noted.
To achieve this ambitious goal, he stated that it is necessary to immediately improve transport and logistics and customs infrastructure, develop international transport corridors and multimodal transportation, as well as establish close cooperation between major logistics companies of the EAEU and third countries.
Tokayev also emphasized that the application of intelligent systems and big data will enable “seamless” logistics, where goods moving through the territories of EAEU member states will not face delays and bureaucratic obstacles.
Kazakhstan is already actively advancing in this direction. A pilot project called Smart Cargo has been launched, and documentation is being translated into electronic format. The platform is ready for integration with the systems of partners from EAEU countries.
Within the framework of the EAEU, it is also proposed to develop an integrated system for managing cargo flows based on artificial intelligence.
This system will allow for reduced delivery times and lower financial costs, which, in turn, will enhance the competitiveness of Eurasian transport corridors.
Tokayev called for cooperation among EAEU member states to create a unified transport framework that will be integrated into global supply chains.
