Richard Buangan, the U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia, sent a video greeting expressing hope for prosperity for the Mongolian people in 2026.
In this greeting, he noted:

On behalf of the U.S. Embassy, I want to congratulate the people of Mongolia on the upcoming New Year, wishing you happiness, joy, health, and prosperity!
These festive days are a moment for an optimistic look into the future and a time for planning together with loved ones and friends.
The year 2025 has been significant in many aspects. The ties between Mongolia and the United States have continued to deepen, and we are confident that in 2026 this friendship will grow even stronger through exchanges and visits at various levels.
Next year, we will celebrate an important event. For the United States, it will be the 250th anniversary, or “America-250.” As part of this celebration, we plan many events that will highlight not only the founding of our country but also the strategic relationship between the U.S. and Mongolia.
