The Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh, Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, addressed the citizens of Kyrgyzstan with congratulations on the occasion of the upcoming New Year 2026.
In his greeting, he noted:
“Dear compatriots!
Respected citizens of Kyrgyzstan!
On behalf of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic and personally, I sincerely congratulate you on the arrival of the New Year 2026! At the end of each year, we summarize the results, reflect on events, and set new goals. The past year was filled with significant events and successful projects. The political decisions made have defined the key directions for the development of our state. The most important is strengthening the foundations of our sovereignty, which was supported by principled decisions on the country's borders. The economic indicators of the republic continue to grow, and domestic production is developing. We pay special attention to improving the living conditions of Kyrgyz citizens and are implementing numerous large-scale social and infrastructure projects. These achievements are the result of measures taken over the past five years, including establishing the rule of law, intensifying the fight against corruption and organized crime, as well as the effective work of all branches of power. The global community is watching our successes with interest, noting that Kyrgyzstan demonstrates significant progress and a confident move forward.
Dear compatriots!
One of the key political events of 2025 was the decision to self-dissolve the VII convocation of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. For the first time in the history of our state, the deputies put the interests of the country above their own by making the decision to self-dissolve. Over the past four years, the VII convocation worked on laws aimed at strengthening the integrity of the state, preserving the language and spirit of the nation, as well as promoting Kyrgyzstan to a new level of economic and social development. As a result of early elections, a new composition of parliament was formed, elected by the people. Although the VIII convocation began its work at the end of the year, it managed to adopt a number of significant laws for the country, including the law on the republican budget, which took into account all the proposals voiced during the elections. The parliament will continue to be at the forefront of reforms and will work on creating the necessary legislative framework for the successful implementation of major projects. I am confident that next year we will continue to make important decisions and legislative initiatives aimed at the development of our country.

We bear the responsibility for building a strong and prosperous Kyrgyzstan! To achieve this goal, each of us must work honestly and diligently in our fields. We must not deviate from this goal.
