In his speech, Trump emphasized: “We are there — and we will stay until a real transfer of power occurs. We will effectively manage the processes.”

The president also noted that the American military is ready for possible military actions and can deliver another, more powerful strike against Venezuela, although in his opinion, this may not be necessary.

According to Trump, American oil companies will head to Venezuela to restore the oil infrastructure, which will allow the country to start making money. “We will ensure that the people of Venezuela become rich and independent, and we will provide for their security,” he added.

Furthermore, Trump announced the continuation of the embargo on Venezuelan oil supplies until all U.S. demands are met, although he did not specify the exact conditions.

“The leaders of Venezuela must realize that Maduro's fate could befall them as well,” Trump warned.

He also announced plans to create a management group for Venezuela in the near future. “We are already working on this and will soon introduce these people,” the president said.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio had a phone conversation with Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez, who has taken over authority after the arrest of Nicolas Maduro. Trump noted that Rodriguez is ready to cooperate with Washington to “make Venezuela great again.”
