Zelensky, for his part, shared that the 20-point plan for the peace agreement is 90% agreed upon, and security guarantees from the U.S. for Ukraine are at 100%. He also noted that security guarantees for Europe and Ukraine are nearly achieved, as reported by Deutsche Welle.
At the meeting, the President of Ukraine emphasized that the issue of Donbass remains critically important for Kyiv, and Ukraine's position is "clear and differs from the Russian one." He stressed that security guarantees are a key aspect for achieving stable peace, rather than territorial issues.
According to Zelensky, the Ukrainian delegation will continue discussions with European politicians to finalize all necessary details of the agreement in the coming weeks. He also did not rule out the possibility of holding a referendum on certain points of the peace plan.
Trump insisted on the need for a quick deal on territories, noting that Ukraine has shown "great courage" and suffered significant losses. "It's time to end the conflict," he stated, adding that he is ready to address the Ukrainian parliament to explain the necessity of a peace agreement.
