According to U.S. President Donald Trump, if Iranian authorities begin to use force against participants in peaceful protests, the United States will be ready to support them.

Trump noted in his post on the social network Truth Social: "If Iran, as is usually the case, starts shooting and killing peaceful protesters, the U.S. will intervene."

Although specific measures that could be taken were not mentioned, the president emphasized that Washington is prepared to act.

Mass protests in Iran have continued for five days amid a sharp devaluation of the national currency and rising prices. According to reports from Iranian media and human rights organizations, the first cases of fatalities during the protests have been recorded since January 1, although the exact number of casualties has not yet been officially confirmed.
