During an online briefing, Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, commented on recent statements by Sergey Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, claiming that Ukrainian drones allegedly attacked the residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. He emphasized that these accusations are false and serve as a pretext for possible attacks on Ukrainian targets. According to him: "This is yet another lie from the Russian Federation."

Zelensky also noted that active dialogues with the American leadership, such as meetings with Donald Trump, cause concern in Russia, as this may indicate successes in bilateral relations.

The President of Ukraine expressed confidence that such rhetoric from Moscow was expected. He also stated that the accusations regarding the attack on Putin's residence could serve as preparation for strikes on Kyiv and its state institutions. Reminding of the September missile strike on the building of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers, Zelensky called for vigilance.

He stressed the need for a more active response from Donald Trump, his team, and European allies to prevent possible negative consequences for the conflict resolution process.

In his Telegram channel, Zelensky added that the accusations from Moscow are aimed at undermining the progress made in cooperation with the U.S., and he urged the international community not to remain indifferent but to actively support the peace process.
