On the night of December 29, Lavrov stated that Ukrainian drones allegedly attacked Putin's state residence, noting that 91 drones were destroyed. However, there was no information about possible casualties or damages.

Despite the loud accusations, Lavrov did not present any evidence to confirm the fact of the attack by Ukrainian armed forces' drones. He added that Russia intends to respond to this incident, pointing to already identified targets. Furthermore, the Russian Foreign Minister announced a revision of Moscow's negotiating position in light of the alleged "state terrorism policy" from Kyiv, while emphasizing that Russia does not plan to withdraw from the negotiation process.

This statement was reacted to by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who called Lavrov's words a lie. According to "Interfax-Ukraine," Zelensky linked these accusations to the recent meeting with Trump and the progress in relations between Ukraine and the U.S.

In Zelensky's opinion, Russia is not interested in a peaceful resolution of the conflict and uses such statements as a pretext for further actions. He also expressed concerns that Moscow may be preparing attacks on government buildings in Kyiv.
