At a meeting with representatives of law enforcement agencies and the judiciary in the Issyk-Kul region, Kamchybek Tashiev announced the completion of the collection of materials regarding several judges. He emphasized that court decisions must be objective, fair, and in accordance with the law.
In his opinion, "it is impossible to make decisions based on personal connections or bribes." According to Tashiev, judges should not interfere in politics, and their task is to make decisions impartially. "Although courts should independently monitor their reputation and act within the framework of the law, we also have the right to take measures. We have data that some judges are participating in political discussions and communicating with influential individuals. Measures will be taken against such judges in the near future. All materials have already been collected," he noted.
He also reported that the current salary of a district court judge is 250,000 soms, a regional court judge is 300,000 soms, and a Supreme Court judge is about 500,000 soms.
"You have been given a salary increase and comfortable conditions, so your work must be honest. We will closely monitor your activities. Only the law can protect you, and no other connections will help," Tashiev added, addressing the judges.
