In various corners of Venezuela, a campaign has begun to remove posters depicting Nicolás Maduro, coinciding with reports of his capture by the United States. Local residents are joyfully perceiving these events as the fall of the regime.

Video recordings published on social media show portraits of Maduro being torn down from building facades and street structures. At the same time, rallies in support of the current president are taking place in Caracas, the capital of the country.

Recall that on January 3, the United States launched a series of strikes on Caracas, and explosions were heard in the city. Later, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the successful execution of a large-scale operation against Venezuela.

According to him, Nicolás Maduro and his wife were detained and taken out of the country. However, the official authorities of Venezuela stated that they do not have confirmed information about the president's whereabouts.
