- In his address, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasizes the need to activate economic cooperation of the EAEU with foreign partners.
An important milestone will be the year 2025, when agreements on free trade with Mongolia and Indonesia will be signed, as well as an economic partnership agreement with the UAE. These initiatives are the result of joint work by the participating countries and the Commission.
Tokayev also noted that it is strategically important to expand the EAEU's ties with the countries of the Global South, the Arab world, Southeast Asia, and Africa, as well as with authoritative regional associations.
The President of Kazakhstan stressed that economic integration serves as an important tool for creating new industries and modern jobs, implementing advanced technologies, and forming a free trade environment.
During its presidency, the Republic of Kazakhstan intends to actively support the fulfillment of these tasks.
“I am confident that only through joint efforts can we achieve the set goals and ensure the dynamic development of the economies of the EAEU member states, as well as strengthen the overall potential of our integration association,” emphasized Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
