In an interview with Fox News, Machado noted that she considers Trump's actions "historic," as they, in her opinion, contributed to democratic changes in Venezuela.

She expressed her willingness to hand over the Nobel Peace Prize, which she received in October, to the President of the United States, as she believes that this award belongs to the Venezuelan people and should be shared with them.

According to Machado, "this is a significant step towards a democratic transition, and I want to convey this to the American people."

The leader of the Venezuelan opposition also confirmed her intentions to return to the country after a change of power.

However, the relationship between her and Trump remains strained. According to The Washington Post, the president was unhappy that Machado did not present the award to him immediately, which his circle regarded as "a serious mistake."

Trump also noted that it "will be very difficult for Machado to become a leader," adding that "she has no support or respect in the country."
