Earlier, in an interview with Fox News, Trump expressed the opinion that the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, has allegedly lost control of the country to drug cartels: “She is a good woman, but Mexico is ruled by drug cartels. We could say she is in charge, but that’s not true. She is very afraid of them,” he noted, adding that he suggested Sheinbaum get rid of the cartels, but she refused.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court of Venezuela ruled that Vice President Delcy Rodriguez must temporarily assume the duties of president due to the kidnapping of Nicolás Maduro. This decision was announced by the chairwoman of the Constitutional Chamber, Carislia Beatriz Rodriguez.
She noted that in the exceptional situation arising from the president's kidnapping, it is necessary to ensure administrative continuity and protect the nation.
