On board his presidential plane, Donald Trump expressed doubts about reports that Ukrainian drones attacked Vladimir Putin's residence in Valdai. A video of his communication with the press was published by the White House press service.

According to Trump, he does not believe that such an incident took place. "Something happened nearby, but it has nothing to do with an attack," he stated.

Journalists reminded him that he had previously expressed confidence in the information about the attack when he spoke with Putin on the phone.

Trump replied, "At that moment, no one knew. I first heard about it from him. He said that his house was attacked. But we cannot believe that, as we verified the information."

It is worth noting that the Russian side claimed that 91 Ukrainian drones attempted to attack Putin's residence. The Kremlin reported that Putin informed Trump about this during a phone conversation on December 29. After that, Trump stated that he was "very angry" and that "this is not the right time for such actions." Ukraine, for its part, denied the attempted attack, which was also confirmed by the CIA following its investigation.
