Kornilov also stated that Bivol plans to return to the ring in March or April. One of the potential opponents in his first fight could be the IBF mandatory challenger Michael Eifert. Furthermore, Bivol is aiming for a significant bout in the second half of next year, which will be the third fight against Artur Beterbiev.

It is worth recalling that both athletes met in a rematch in February 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Bivol won by a majority decision and became the undisputed world champion in the light heavyweight division.

The first fight between them took place in October 2024, in which Beterbiev also emerged victorious, receiving a majority decision. He has 21 wins (20 by knockout) and one loss. Bivol has 24 wins (12 by knockout) and one loss.
