As the New Year approaches, Santa Claus enters his most intense period. For Ernist Adylbekov, a puppeteer, this time becomes not just a series of morning performances and shows, but a true test of sincerity. He claims that it is impossible to deceive children on stage.

- Ernist, tell us about your path to the profession.- I was born in 1994 in the village of Orto-Aryk, located in the Talas region. After graduating from school in 2012, I enrolled in the Bishkek State University of Arts named after B. Beishenaliev, in the faculty of theater and cinema. I completed my studies in 2018 and began working in the puppetry theater.

- Which image of Santa Claus is closer to you?- I perceive Santa Claus as a wise and serious elder. The format of performances varies: at corporate events, he resembles a showman more, while in the theater, a completely different approach is required. Each child needs individual attention.

- Do you notice changes in children's desires over time?- I do not see significant differences between modern children and those from the past. They all dream; it's just that their desires have changed. In the past, letters often asked for toys and sweets, but now gadgets have appeared on the wish lists. Some colleagues claim that today's children are different, but I do not share this opinion.

- How do you plan to celebrate the New Year?- The New Year for me begins on December 15 and lasts until the 31st. During this period, I work in the image of Santa Claus, participating in performances and morning shows. After December 31, I just want to relax and enjoy the silence and peace.
