On January 2, 2026, at the age of 93, Zhorо Nurkulov, a renowned education veteran in the Kyrgyz Republic and former party worker, passed away, as reported by his relatives. Biography: Zhorо Nurkulov, after finishing secondary school in the village of Kashka-Suu in the Aksy district, enrolled in the history department of the Kyrgyz State University. From 1961 to 1965, he worked at the Kerben boarding school, serving as a teacher, director, and inspector of the district state service management. From 1965 to 1970, Nurkulov held the position of director of the secondary school in Tash-Tobe, and then, from 1970 to 1973, he was the head of the propaganda and agitation department in the party committee of the Janay-Dzhol district. From 1973 to 1994, he served as the director of both the Kerben boarding school and a vocational-technical school. Throughout his career, Zhorо Nurkulov was repeatedly elected as a deputy of local councils. His work was recognized with medals and certificates of honor, and he was awarded the title of "Best Teacher."
