Aysulu Kerimbekova, a mother of many children from the village of Teploklyuchenka, located in the Ak-Su district of the Issyk-Kul region, has been teaching children about astronomy for 12 years.

In a conversation with a Turmush correspondent, she shared her story. Aysulu, born in 1988, after finishing her studies at Kirov Gymnasium, enrolled in the Physics and Technology Faculty of Issyk-Kul State University. In her childhood, she wanted to become a doctor, but after passing the nationwide testing, she chose the profession of a physics teacher, returning to her alma mater where she once studied.

Despite the fact that many are surprised by her achievements, Aysulu successfully balances work at two educational institutions and caring for her five children. “The oldest is 9 years old, and the youngest is only one and a half. I usually do not take maternity leave and return to teaching immediately after giving birth. In addition to working at the school, I conduct classes at the Ak-Su District Center for Children's Education. I often hear questions like, ‘How do you manage to do everything?’ My work is related to the exact sciences, so I always try to plan my time wisely,” she shares.

Aysulu has proven herself to be a talented educator in the field of astronomy. In the education center, her astrophysics section has 45 students divided into three groups. “The children are interested in natural phenomena and space, and they ask many questions about stars and planets. We create models and participate in international competitions, where we achieve good results. This year, I participated in the ‘Teacher of the Year’ competition and successfully passed the selection at the district level,” she added.
