Aiyimyrza Isaeva, residing in Germany, has become the new heroine of our column "Our People Abroad."
She was born in 2003 in Kazarman and graduated from the 32nd school. Aiyimyrza came to Germany through one of the student programs, where she received her education as a dental technician at the University of Münster.
Aiyimyrza shared the story of her meeting with her future husband, Sean McDonald.
“When Sean came to Germany for summer work, I was studying there. One of my relatives, with whom I was living, worked as a nanny in his house. She invited him over, and that's how we met,” she said.
Sean, born in 2004, lived in Kyrgyzstan until 2012, after which he moved to the USA, where he currently resides.
Despite the fact that Sean worked in a city that was two hours away from Aiyimyrza, he visited her every week. A few days after his departure, he wrote to her: “I love you.”
Aiyimyrza noted that her chosen one has a calm and balanced character.
“I liked his plans for the future because with him I could believe in a bright tomorrow. I trust him as a person. He respects Kyrgyz traditions and culture, accepts my flaws, and supports me in my development,” she added.
Both of their parents were supportive of the couple, backing their decision. Currently, they are planning a wedding in Kyrgyzstan, but they have not officially registered their marriage yet.
When they first met, Aiyimyrza did not know English very well. Nevertheless, they managed to spend several hours communicating with the help of a translator and gestures. Since then, she has significantly improved her language skills, mainly thanks to Sean. A month after they met, he visited Kyrgyzstan and met her family.
Sean does not strictly adhere to American traditions, as his parents lived in Kyrgyzstan for 14 years. Therefore, their family continues to honor some Kyrgyz customs, even despite their life in the USA.
In her free time, Aiyimyrza enjoys creating content.
“I strive to learn new things, such as boxing, singing, and dancing. My goal is financial independence so that I can travel. I want to share my experiences and successes on social media, helping others with similar goals. I dream of showcasing the nomadic culture of the Kyrgyz and all the beauty of Kyrgyzstan to the world. I also hope to become a good mother,” she concluded.
