The Minister of Education, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, noted on the air of "Birinchi Radio" that scholarship recipients who received funding from the government under the "El ümütü" program should return and work in Kyrgyzstan.

“We invited them, but no one came. I don’t want to name names to avoid shaming people; they understand this themselves. Some asked us to state that we have no claims against them, but we could not do that. This is a matter of conscience and responsibility to the state. I invited a person who is engaged in educational activities abroad to the position of deputy minister. I won’t mention his name either. He refused, saying that salaries are higher abroad. We were ready to offer him a social mortgage and increase his salary,” Kendirbaeva shared.

According to her, there is an opinion that there is no stability and guarantees in Kyrgyzstan.

“But I want to emphasize that if there were stability, then these people would not be needed. There are those who stay and work here, for example, young specialists. One of them worked in Germany at the Ministry of Education and Science, and after the division of the ministry, he moved to the Ministry of Science. We need qualified personnel, especially in the context of transitioning to a 12-year education system,” the minister added.
