Temirbek Erkinov previously served as an assistant to the Chairman of the Cabinet, Akylbek Japarov, and headed the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. In May 2023, he was detained by GKNB agents in connection with a corruption case but was later released by a court decision after reaching a plea deal with the investigation, which included admitting guilt at the request of the GKNB investigator.
Additionally, Temirbek Erkinov previously served as the Honorary Consul of Bangladesh in Kyrgyzstan.
In October 2024, he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
