On the night of January 9, 27 drivers who were in a state of alcohol intoxication were detained in the Issyk-Kul region, reports Turmush correspondent.
As part of an initiative called "Behind the Wheel," traffic safety enforcement officers conducted a raid aimed at increasing road safety. Inspections of vehicles were carried out at all entrances to the city.
During the raid, it was found that some drivers were operating vehicles while intoxicated, and there were also cases where individuals were driving without the necessary documents and driver's licenses. Measures were taken against all violators in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
“We plan to continue raid activities to reduce the number of road traffic accidents, increase driver accountability, and ensure citizen safety,” noted representatives of the service.
