The athlete from Kyrgyzstan, Zalkarbek Tabaldiev, took third place at the ranking tournament in freestyle wrestling held in Albania.

Tabaldiev competed in the 70 kg category and began his journey from the 1/8 finals.

In his first match, he faced his compatriot Rustam Kaharov, whom he defeated with a score of 12:1.

The next bout was against Bulgarian wrestler Kaloyan Atanasov, and Tabaldiev also secured a confident victory with a score of 14:3, which ensured his advancement to the semifinals.

However, in the semifinals, the athlete from Kyrgyzstan lost to American Alec William Pontaléo, finishing the match with a score of 0:10.

To earn the bronze medal, Tabaldiev had to face Mexican wrestler Austin Kli Gomez in the match for third place. It is worth noting that Gomez had lost consciousness twice during his previous bout against the American and ultimately withdrew from the competition due to injury.

Thus, Tabaldiev received the bronze medal without stepping onto the mat in the final match for third place.

In the final of the 70 kg weight category, Ernazar Akmataliev will compete against a representative from Iran.
